General

These general terms and conditions of Historisch Amsterdam apply to all agreements concluded with Historisch Amsterdam.

Historisch Amsterdam is an initiative of Edward Boer and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 78359562.

Reservation

Reservation of a guided tour can only be made by filling in the contact form  For more information about reservations go to To Book


Confirmation

After receiving your reservation, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Historisch Amsterdam. This will state at what time the tour starts and where the city walk starts and ends. 


Prices and payment

For a private tour up to 4 persons the group price is €105

If the group consists of more than 4 people (maximum 15), the costs are €23 per person. Children up to 6 years free; from 6 to 12 years €10,50 per child.

These rates apply only if the tour is booked and invoiced for the entire group in one go. All mentioned prices are incl. VAT and apply during 2026.

You will receive an invoice together with the confirmation by e-mail. 
You must pay this invoice within the payment term. The invoice amount must be credited to our bank account at least one day before the tour. Always state the invoice number with your payment. Cash payment is not possible; with a booking less than 7 days before the date of the tour, it is possible to pay on site with a debit card before the start of the tour.

Date and starting time

You preferably choose two preferred dates and then contact us. This can be done by telephone or by e-mail via the contact form .

Make sure you are at the departure point at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Historisch Amsterdam strictly adheres to the agreed starting time. If you are delayed or unable to attend for any reason, please call +31630142911.

If you or your group are more than 15 minutes late, without having reported this by telephone, Historisch Amsterdam can cancel your city walk. In that case there will be no refund of your payment.

The city walks of Historisch Amsterdam are provided by city guide Edward Boer


Maximum number of participants per tour

A maximum number of 15 participants applies to all guided tours, unless otherwise agreed.


Change in number of people

A change in the number of people in a group booking can be communicated to us up to one week before the city walk.


Liability

Participation in our city walks is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for their participation in traffic and for their belongings.

Historisch Amsterdam is not liable for material or immaterial direct or indirect damage to the participant incurred during a city walk or for damage caused by the participant to third parties during a city walk. Historisch Amsterdam is not liable for damage or loss of the participant's property.


Cancellation by the customer

The following applies to canceling a reservation.

Reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 2 weeks before the planned date. 

If you cancel within two weeks before the planned date, you will receive a voucher for the amount paid. This voucher can be used to pay for your next reservation.

When canceling a reservation on the day of the tour, no refund in the form of a voucher or refund of the amount already paid will be made. 

Cancellation can only be done by email via the contact form .

The above cancellation conditions apply to both group and individual reservations.


Cancellation by Historisch Amsterdam

If Historisch Amsterdam has to cancel a tour after the customer has received a confirmation and has paid, the entire amount will be refunded to the customer.
