Reservation

Please read the following carefully and then go to the contact page to book your tour.

In addition to your name, e-mail address and telephone number, you clearly and completely state the following information:

1. your address, zip code and place of residence

2. the tour you have chosen, for example "Old City Center”

3. your two preferred dates

4. the number of participating persons

5. any details that Historic Amsterdam should, if possible, take into account, for example a tour (partly) in another language.

By making a reservation you indicate that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions .

Confirmation

After receiving your reservation you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Historisch Amsterdam. It states at what time the tour starts and where it starts and ends. In your confirmation you will also find useful tips on how to travel to the departure point by public transport. For useful information, also see Plan your tour

Prices and payment

For a private tour up to 4 persons the group price is €105

If the group consists of more than 4 people (maximum 15), the costs are €20,50 per person. Children up to 6 years free; from 6 to 12 years €10,50 per child.

These rates apply only if the tour is booked and invoiced for the entire group in one go. All mentioned prices are incl. VAT and apply during 2026.

You will receive an invoice together with the confirmation by e-mail. You must pay this invoice within the payment term. The invoice amount must be credited to our bank account at least one day before the tour. Always state the invoice number with your payment. Cash payment is not possible; with a booking less than 7 days before the date of the tour, it is possible to pay on site with a debit card before the start of the tour. 

Maximum number of participants per tour

A maximum number of 15 participants applies to all guided tours, unless otherwise agreed.

‘We recently had a wonderful and inspiring tour of the old city centre of Amsterdam by Edward. We enjoyed the knowledge that Edward has gathered about the city. The beautiful archive photos to support it spoke to our imagination, which really brought the story to life. In addition, Edward spoke fluent English, which allowed our future American daughter-in-law to fully enjoy it. We have visited Amsterdam many times, but Edward was still able to point out beautiful, quiet places that we had not yet discovered. Time flew by and due to our many questions and our tight schedule, we were unfortunately unable to complete the tour and Edward adjusted the programme slightly at our request. We are looking forward to doing the same tour again or one of the other options, and hope that Edward's wife will join us again. The tour was a gem and Edward is the right wearer of this gem.’
